A Word In Season: The Sacrifice of Praise

“In these days, more than any other time in history, My children must learn the importance of the sacrifice of praise.

The sacrifice of praise is to call out to Me with hope, expectation, and rejoicing in the midst of trials & tribulation. To praise Me in the midst of suffering — that is the sacrifice.

You need to learn how to call out to me in adversity, because the days are evil and will only get darker as the end draws near.

Do you know that the word Hosanna means “Oh, save!” … The cry of Hosanna!  has become a shout of praise & celebration, but it originally meant “Save!” or “Help!’. This word was used to address a King with a need.

When My children Israel called out “Hosanna!”, waving palm branches and rejoicing as Jesus rode into town on a donkey, they unwittingly set an example of what the sacrifice of praise looks like —

It looks like crying out to Me, “Lord, save me! Help me!”… with a heart of rejoicing.

It may seem like a contradiction, and it might be counter-intuitive, but that is the kind of praise that captivates My heart. I am searching for true worshipers who would worship me no matter how much it costs them. With them My Spirit will always abide.

When you lift your hands up in the midst of trouble, when you sing a song of praise or raise up a heart of thanksgiving to Me, it brings Me such delight. It is such a lovely sight, so precious in My eyes.

When you bring to Me the sacrifice of praise, something wonderful will change in your heart. Faith will begin to arise, and you will know that you know with increasing certainty that I am coming to save you. And you will be brought to a deeper level of understanding My heart.

So the next time you sing to Me “Hosanna!” even though your heart is breaking, know that I take it into account. I note the cost with which you gave praise to Me, and I will return it back to you a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

When you praise me with “Hosanna!” – “Oh, save!” – in times of trouble, know that help is on the way. My arm is not too short to save, and I am coming for you.

I love your sacrifices of praise. Close your eyes and feel My pleasure. Trust Me, honor Me, wait for Me — I will surely come and save you.”

Idream of Eden. We were made for the Garden and the full pleasure of paradise. We got separated at Eden and we spend our whole lives searching for a way back into that secret paradise. All of life's pursuit + pain + questioning can be traced back to man's search for home. Our deepest instincts tell us that we are not home outside of this reality, and our souls will never stop searching until we return. Only there will we find rest and our true being. There, we begin to dream again the dreams that have laid asleep in our hearts all along.
