A Word in Season: Hope In Your Suffering

My precious child,

You’ve been bruised and battered and so beaten down that you’ve lost the will to stand up anymore. Life seems so hopeless to you right now.

There once was a time that you looked at the world around you with wide-eyed wonder, and life was full of possibility, hope, promise. But pain, mistakes, and loss have left you hard and defensive and skeptical. Life has made you almost believe that ending your life right now would be a sweet relief from all that pain.

Today, there’s something I want to say.

I love you.

I am with you.

I have never left you.

I will never forsake you.

You’ve given up hope, that’s okay. Let me hope for you.

You’re so tired of trying. Good, because when you’ve given up trying is when I can come in and work miracles for you.

You’ve prayed for a soft heart. A heart that feels & loves deeply, one that doesn’t grow cold in the evil days. And now you’re going through all this pain, suffering, wondering if there’s any hope left in the darkness. But I’m telling you today that this is My answer to your prayer. Without suffering there’d be no compassion. Without pain there’d be no empathy. Your pain is My pain, and one day, you’ll see, there’s going to be great rejoicing for us both.

Would you let me walk with you?

This is my promise –

I won’t change the journey; it’s what slowly makes you the person you were always meant to be. But I will walk with you every step of the way.

The fire is a prophetic clarion call, bringing out that priceless treasure from your heart. But I will be with you in the crucible, and the flames will not consume you.

Roll down the windows, take a moment, and you’ll hear My voice in your ear. Time is up and fear can no longer keep you away.

Take my hand, let me in.

Idream of Eden. We were made for the Garden and the full pleasure of paradise. We got separated at Eden and we spend our whole lives searching for a way back into that secret paradise. All of life's pursuit + pain + questioning can be traced back to man's search for home. Our deepest instincts tell us that we are not home outside of this reality, and our souls will never stop searching until we return. Only there will we find rest and our true being. There, we begin to dream again the dreams that have laid asleep in our hearts all along.

Looking for something?

Let's make a search.
