A New Breed of Leadership Arising

This is something the Lord has been showing me over the past couple of years. I am in no way an expert on the subject of leadership; if anything, I have much to learn. This word is preaching to me as much as it preaches to anyone. June is a key month of being positioned for major acceleration, may we be found faithful in obeying!

My beloved ones, I am raising up a new breed of leaders across the face of the earth.

You’ve heard that the days of Superstar ministers are over, but I am taking it one step further. Indeed, this is the time for the nameless, faceless army of God to arise — and I am raising Generals in this army that look completely opposite from what the world think great leaders look like. I am raising up an army of servant leaders. People who serve in authenticity, brokenness, and humility.

The generals in My army will not be perfect, but they will have a childlike heart to hear Me & obey My voice even in weakness. They are marked by humility, vulnerability, and a broken offered-up life that will become a guiding post for all who look upon them. They will not serve out of their own strength or wisdom, but by walking in total dependance on My Holy Spirit.

I am looking across the earth for those whose hearts will completely belong to Me.

I am preparing those with hearts to serve. They will lead My people with the heart of a servant, and serve them with the heart of a king.

Not for glory, not for ambition, not even for spiritual conquests. No, I am searching for those who, like Jacob, would wrestle for an encounter that would leave them so dependent on Me. Like Jacob, they will be unable to walk without leaning on Me. And like Jacob, they will experience the heart-stopping goodness of God in their lives with grace to impart much to the next generation.

Even now, many of them are growing strong. But the world doesn’t know them yet. It has been a quiet work; deep heart work.

For such generals are as porcelain — they appear delicate/weak to the human eye, they have a transparency about them, but they possess a strength + tenacity that belies their appearance. This is because they’ve been forged in the deep fires and gone through the most intense flames. And they’ve emerged tested and proven, and proven faithful.

Many on the earth and in My church are hungry for My new breed of generals to lead them in the battle. Many need these generals to lead them into battle. And I am about to launch them very, very soon.

Keep watch and be ready. The time of suddenlies has come and is still coming in greater measure.

My new breed of servant leaders understand hiddenness & have chosen voluntary weakness so they’re sustained only by My grace. Because of this, they’re not afraid to be honest about their journey even when it’s less than perfect because they know that My people don’t need another lofty unattainable standard of spirituality, but rather they need forerunners who’ve gone before them, fallen down a few times, and persisted in running the race. That is what will encourage and inspire My people that they can do it too.

People like David the man after My own heart, Moses, Abraham, even My prophet Samuel. They all made mistakes, and I purposefully chose not to conceal those mistakes in My everlasting word. I wanted My children to have living stories, not blind guides, to lead them on the way. This is the very reason I sent My Son, so that mankind could learn from a Man what it means to be fully man as I designed in the Garden.

I am calling out for such men and women to arise in this generation.

Be strong and take courage, My generals-in-training. The heat has been painful and you’ve thought many times that you couldn’t bear any more. I am so proud of you for enduring. I see your heart of obedience to Me even in weakness, and I am moved by it. I keep account of every quiet sacrifice, every time you’ve chosen My kingdom over your comfort. I delight in you and I want you to know: You are storing up for yourselves everlasting treasures in heaven that nothing & no one can every take away from you.

Take heart, My children. Position yourselves. Let My Spirit prepare your heart, even when that means tearing down & rebuilding.

I am releasing My new breed of generals across the earth today, and I will not stop working until that day comes.

“Jesus replied: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.’” John 5 19 & 20

A Word In Season: Overcoming The Enemy With Hope

We are entering into a significant season, and there is a secret attack mission on the children of God in this season. The enemy says Hope is contraband commodity on this earthly territory. He has sought to hold many back from fulfilling their God-given mission through discouragement, intimidation, and comparison. This has caused many to turn their eyes away from the Lord and onto themselves.

But I feel like we literally don’t have time to waste talking about what the enemy is doing, and we definitely should not be looking at all the odds against us in this season, because we have a huge commissioning on our hands to bring the culture of heaven into all spheres of this earth.

There is a great sending the Lord is doing across the earth in all 7 mountains of society, and the enemy is terrified. Like a snake caught in a trap, it’s doing all it can to strike out at anyone he can take down with him.

The key to overcoming the enemy’s assignments is this: Hope. Look to the Lord and take courage.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Jesus says He has taken back jurisdiction + given us authority over this earth. It’s no longer Satan’s territory. When the enemy presses in, look to Jesus. Keep your eyes on Him. Exalt Him, not your circumstances. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the battle belongs to the Lord. We will raise up a standard: Jesus.

June is a key month in God’s calendar, the month in between May the 5th month which represents grace, and July the 7th month which represents perfection. June is the month in between grace to perfection, and many of you are being prepared to take new ground + enlarge your territory in the months to come. It is vital to remember: Remain under His covering. Step out in His time, in step with Him. Abide. Don’t strive + strike out on your own though you may know where you’re supposed to go. Remain beneath the shelter of His wings. Let Him be the one to lift + promote you. Stepping out apart from Him will leave you vulnerable to the enemy. Abide in Him + remain under His covering.

Remain under the shadow of the Most High. The enemy waits to attack, but he cannot really hurt you. Ignore him and look at Jesus. Worship Jesus. Exalt Jesus. As you do so, His glory will be lifted up in your life, shining its light into every area and chasing the darkness away.

There is great opposition in the spirit realm against His faithful servants, but we can overcome by standing firm upon His promises and under the shadow of the Almighty. Don’t be weary in holding on to faith and hope; don’t give up just before you receive your provision from heaven.

Beloved one, His army in this day and hour cannot be passive, for it is by faith and patience that His warriors inherit His promise. By fortitude, courage, and endurance. Turn to Him, take His hand, cry out to Him, use His word, act on the principles of His word, and stand firm on His word.

So I speak hope over areas of hopelessness in our lives today, in Jesus’ name. I speak His light of truth into areas of darkness, fear, or confusion. I speak courage and hope in the face of impossibility.

Let’s not give in. Let’s not stand idly by while the attack intensifies. We must not let hope be snatched out of our hands. Declare an amen: OUR GOD IS FOR US, WE WILL OVERCOME.

I’m praying that He would shine the light of truth into areas of lies. Let this season be one of deep tearing down of all that’s bad + deep rebuilding of all the good.

God wants you to know: He hasn’t forgotten. He hasn’t put aside His promises to you. He hasn’t forgotten you.

He is actively moving in your life to prepare you for that blessing, so the blessing will bless you and not crush you. Because when He fulfills His promises He adds no sorrow to it. Only joy. Full joy. Your day of joy is coming. He remembers + He is watching to see that it is fulfilled. Hallelujah, amen.

Quiet Time Tools

I get that we’ve been talking about worship a lot. Like, alot a lot. I love that I get to share my experiences on this little platform, and it’s a privilege I don’t take lightly. But I also know that many of you have read some of these things and thrown your hands up in the air like, “I’ve never done this before! Is it for me? Where do I even start?” and so I wanted to take some time to share some practical tools with you today.

Because I get it. I look at some people like Enoch and Moses and feel like they’ve set a standard for spirituality I can’t reach, and it’s super discouraging sometimes. But the truth is that God wants to encounter us in those deep, intimate ways. So much more than we could ever want Him. It might not always feel that way, but it’s the truth.

I walked most of my prophetic-learning journey with no available mentor to guide me or lead the way, which really just meant that I learned by making mistakes. Lots and lots of mistakes. I offended many people in the process, got my heart bruised a few times, and got rebuked by Holy Spirit’s gentle voice aplenty. I wouldn’t trade that journey for anything, but I also believe that this next generation rising up won’t have to go mentor-less. You don’t have to pursue the prophetic alone because forerunners have already gone before you to prepare the road you must tread. You won’t need to go in blind. You get to stand on our shoulders; our ceiling is your floor, and you will do far greater things than we’ve done. And that’s a comforting thought isn’t it?

So here are some practical things that draw me in to deep worship + help me to hear from God. Some may work for you, and some may not. And there may be other things that I haven’t listed here that God might be calling through. I pray for Holy Spirit’s voice to be amplified in your heart as you discern the ways He wants to encounter you in this very special season.

My shofar from Israel

1. DANCE is powerful for me because it bypasses the mind + heart and goes straight to my spirit.

It pleases the Lord, and here’s how I know: I’ve only ever danced before Him privately in my prayer room, and yet I can’t tell you how many times total strangers have actually come up to me and said, “You dance before the Lord. The Lord says that you are His dancer and He is pleased. Your movements create things.” These words always move me to tears because God knows what is done in the secret place, and He straight up delights in it.

There are many different ways to dance – sometimes I dance with the tambourine, sometimes with a special dance scarf, most times just with my hands – but it’s really just super simple. Let worship music play, feel how Holy Spirit is moving you, and just follow Him. There’s really no list of steps to follow when it comes to worship dance.

My favorite soft silk dance scarf from Israel + tambourine of lightest wood from Cebu.

There are times that I’ve danced in His arms in a huge palace ballroom.

Other times I’ve seen literal nations below my feet as I dance healing + freedom over them. “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Many times, it has torn down strongholds + created heavenly realities in my own life and home.

Some days the dance is simple and twirly. Some days it’s intense and punctuated. Other days I don’t dance at all because He just wants me to sit with Him.

Holy Spirit guides us as we learn to move as He moves, so there’s no shame or embarrassment to try in His presence!

2. MUSIC goes on 24/7 up in heaven, so I think it works here on earth too!

Some days I worship on the piano, sometimes the guitar or flute, but mostly I play them on the computer so I’m free to sing + bow + lift my hands + dance.

My little music corner in our study room

My flute

I’m not a very musical person, but God moves + speaks often through words and songs. I feel like that’s because music opens our senses, and “the whole person, with all his senses, with both mind and body, needs to be involved in genuine worship.”

3. SILENCE is sometimes the deepest way to engage with God.

When we come to the end of all things, including ourselves, and come face to face with God Almighty, are there any words left to say? All our glib sayings become mere babble, and we stand unmasked in His presence. At that point, we can only stand surrendered, silent, and remember that He is King. That is the moment that true worship bursts forth from our hearts.

4. JOURNALING is an incredible and vastly underrated tool. I could go into the benefits of journaling, but I feel like this article did a pretty good job of it already.

5. THE BIBLE is life. It is food and living water. It nourishes and cleanses. It convicts and builds us up. The Bible is so important.

These are some of the things that happen during my quiet time, and they’ve helped me encounter God through many different seasons. I hope this list helps you in some way, but at the end of the day, these are just tools — what we need the most is Holy Spirit. He is the One who will guide you in prayer (Romans 8:26), in worship (John 4:23 & 24), in understanding God’s word (John 14:26), and in knowing God (John 16:13-16). Invite Him in today? He will provide the hunger, and He will make a way for you to get there.

Idream of Eden. We were made for the Garden and the full pleasure of paradise. We got separated at Eden and we spend our whole lives searching for a way back into that secret paradise. All of life's pursuit + pain + questioning can be traced back to man's search for home. Our deepest instincts tell us that we are not home outside of this reality, and our souls will never stop searching until we return. Only there will we find rest and our true being. There, we begin to dream again the dreams that have laid asleep in our hearts all along.
